on Friday me and dave went out from the office to a cafe and had michelata's. then after that we went to parillada uraguayense, another restaurant. more happened on Thursday. Me, dave and ben went to the park because i didnt have school. ben rode his bike around a track a few times and me and dave played with a football. after that we went to the mall and saw a movie, which cut out half way through.. but it was sweet. before the movie the whole fam and i went a church thats called sanctuario atotonilco and it has a statue in it thats called senior de la colunda or in english, christ of the colemn. which is really really famous in the area. people from all over mexico would go to this statue because it has "healing powers". the church itself was amazing though. on the inside there was not one spot that wasnt painted inside. the whole ceiling and walls were all painted with murals it was really cool ill see if i can find a picture. that was our day!

Sounds like Dave is giving you a great experience of Mexico. The Church sounds very interesting to me....hope you can get pix. Papaw and I just came off the golf course. He beat me...but not by much.Didn't matter...he still had to buy us a cool drink. Is Spanish coming easier to you in your class? Gus is doing great, and is the absolute favorite of ben and georgia's. All the people in the office love him, and took him out on Friday...spicy Micheledas were not much of a hit, they are like bloody mary's only with beer...I think he might have choked down a few sips, but was not enjoyed. This morning, we went to the Lienzo Charro, where the professional rodeo cowboys work out and train their horses. On our way there, we saw one of the charros who was in a tent eating carnitas...we joined him and ordered up some carnitas "pura masisa" which means without the fatty layer that comes underneath the skin...it was accompanied with spicy salsas, three or four types, including "chile manzano" which iss a yellow chile closely related to the habanero, and is very hot. Enrique taught us a mexican saying about paying in the rear, I will let Gus elaborate.
We went and rode horses, Gus rode some in the ring, and I got to practice roping bulls, which was fun. I finally learned how to rope the back feet in team roping, and got three in a row, which made me really happpy. Then we went swimming at a ranch of a friend, and had some fun. More to come later.
